Experiences of Health & Care in Bradford during the first phase of COVID-19
This report sets out the findings of a survey we conducted from 30th March to 29th June 2020.
Summary
The worldwide outbreak of COVID-19 has affected all areas of our lives. We wanted to find out how people were experiencing treatment if they contracted the virus, how the impact of COVID-19 was affecting their health and care of pre-existing conditions in order to help local NHS and social care services shape their response.
Our findings include:
- Difficulties in accessing clear and accessible information about COVID-19
- Confusion regarding shielding rules and processes
- Lockdown’s effects on mental health and difficulties accessing mental health services for new and existing service users.
